Doug Mathias, Technical Support Engineer
As a Technical Support Engineer, Doug Mathias supports submersible water pumps and surface-mounted products. He’s been with the company for more than two years. Before his tenure with Franklin Electric, he worked in the mechanical engineering field. His career experience reflects facets like customer care, project management, quality, and manufacturing-based activities.
Doug finds fulfillment in addressing customers' day-to-day challenges while being conscious of end-product design encompassing on-time delivery, quality, safety, and cost. He’s adept at finding solutions, no matter how complex or complicated the situation.
On a personal note, Doug is a passionate and seasoned homebrewer. Fun fact: While pursuing an engineering degree, he’d write reports based on beer-making experiences.
Terry Smith, Senior Product Manager
Terry Smith is a Senior Product Manager responsible for managing the Electronics and Controls product portfolio. His career with Franklin Electric has spanned nearly 20 years. He joined the company as an Electronics Engineer in 2007 and transitioned to Product Management in 2014.
Among his career highlights, Terry masterfully led the development projects for the SubDrive Connect, SubDrive Utility, and SubDrive Connect Plus product families. He’s currently responsible for these solutions as well as others like Control Boxes, Pumptec, and Solar products.
His approach to customer engagement blends technical knowledge with problem-solving. He takes an analytical approach to gathering insights to provide his customer base with innovative products that meet their needs.
On a personal note, Terry enjoys bowling, playing golf, and curling.
